There’s nothing like seeing the gowns up close and personal at a fashion show.
Not so long ago, the only way you could find out about clothing before it was in stores was from reading reviews by editors who saw them at fashion shows or appointments in showrooms. Lucky for you, times have changed. It’s possible for you to get your very own first look at the Aisle of Style Fashion Show at Twin Cities Bridal Show. Here are just some of the reasons newly-engaged couples should take advantage of the Twin Cities Bridal Show and grab your (physically-distant) space at our live fashion show, because trust us, there’s nothing like seeing all the glamour in person.
Note that this year’s Aisle of Style Fashion Show will look a little different with spaced out cocktails tables to allow for physical distancing in lieu of individual seating. More info here on our Twin Cities Bridal Show page.
SEE THE GOWN DETAILS
There’s nothing like seeing the gowns up close and personal at a fashion show. The laces, the beading, the seaming, all of this is visible and can make a difference in your gown selection. The fashion show this season will feature gowns from Diamond Bride and Flutter Bridal Co. in a range of sizes to satisfy all brides.
Real bride Jayna says going to the Twin Cities Bridal Show Aisle of Style Fashion Show definitely helped shape her decision, “I knew I wanted something unique. I knew after the show, I didn’t want all lace. Small details from the show and overall event shaped my opinions to help me find my dress.”
SEE THE GOWNS MOVE
While mannequins show off more on a gown than when they are on a hangar, there’s nothing like seeing a wedding gown in motion. After all, you won’t be still on your big day and it’s nice that at a fashion show, you can see how you’ll look walking down the aisle, or grooving on the dance floor. Jayna has been to two bridal fashion shows, and can’t say enough about the importance of seeing gowns at a fashion show. “It makes a huge difference to see how a dress moves, catches light, and can look so different from the front to the back. To see it walk down an aisle, in real-time is very eye-opening as to how much detail goes into one dress and made me feel more confident about what I did and didn’t like.”
‘To see it walk down an aisle, in real-time is very eye-opening…”
In addition to gowns from Diamond Bride and Flutter Bridal Co. in a range of sizes, the second half of the fashion show will be exclusively Colby John Couture dresses.
More To Know Before You Go
Besides seeing the gowns live and up close, you can also get beauty inspiration from the shows. Examine the hair and make-up styles, but know they might be more theatrical than what you wanted. They can be taken down a notch for real life and can inspire you to do those braids or updo that you couldn’t quite picture before. Take pictures and notes on anything you like, so that you can try to execute those styles later (or communicate them to a stylist if you’re using a pro).
