A LITTLE BACKGROUND
A former convent, music, and arts conservatory, the Celeste of St. Paul | Hotel + Bar is a hotel filled with history, charm and character. As it recently opened, we wanted to share this landmark property with you; as you’ll see, it’s quite a gem.
With 71 guest rooms, this hotel is perfect for history buffs, or just those who appreciate old-world charm. Deb Floeder, Director of Sales tells us, “Bringing new life to a historic former Catholic convent and arts conservatory in the heart of Minnesota’s capital city, the Celeste of St. Paul Hotel + Bar provides an elevated, uniquely intimate guest experience steeped in the heritage of the nuns who once lived and taught there.” With recent renovations, it was important to keep the appeal of the old building, while modernizing for today’s guests’ needs and comfort standards.
Next to the historic Fitzgerald Theater, one of St. Paul’s premier entertainment venues, the hotel is also a ten-minute walk to the State Capitol building and the Xcel Energy Center. And many other locations are only moments away via light rail.
FOOD AND DRINK OPTIONS
As Deb Floeder tells us, “The Parlor Bar serves small plates and breakfast made to order with chef-prepared omelets that are included in each overnight guests’ stay.” For those who are having an event at The Celeste St. Paul, “We are pleased to offer groups the option of working with their caterer with knowledge of our facilities.”
Every afternoon and evening elevated options await at the Celeste Bar. Offering craft cocktails and bar snacks, you’re bound to find a tasty drink to imbibe, all while in an intimate setting.
A range of event spaces are available for everything from meetings to celebrations, and Floeder says, “The Chapel accommodates intimate weddings and gatherings up to 50 guests and we offer unique space options for larger groups including hotel buyouts.”
