We all know that getting in shape is #1 on a many new year’s resolutions, but what about for your wedding? Do it for both! We’ve found some tips to get you motivated to start working towards your New Year and Wedding body! We’ve put together a list of 8 ways to help you get motivated to reach your New Year’s and Wedding Day goals.
- Find a buddy!
Find a friend who wants to workout with you, or just wants to workout. You guys can keep each other motivated and hold each other accountable. That’s what friends are for!
- Do it for the picture
Take a before picture and track the progress as you go. At the end, you’ll feel so good when you see the before and after photos. Hard work pays off!
- Sign up for a class
It’s easy to bail out on exercise when you aren’t paying for something or if you’re not signed up. Signing up for a class will hold you accountable. It also works to break up your other exercise routines.
- Keep motivational quotes/pictures around
Check out the motivational quotes on pinterest and create your own board. Whenever you feel like you can’t workout and just want to sit on pinterest for the night– check out this board! Take some of those quotes and put them on post-it notes around the house.
- Treat yo-self
Do it you kill your workout/goal? Maybe more than of them you thought! Treat yourself to a mani/pedi or maybe a new pair of shoes (We won’t tell).
- Plan your Schedule
Plan ahead. Write it down in your calendar, so when your weeks get crazy you know what times work best for a workout. It’s so much easier to get in a routine when you have it planned!
- Get a killer playlist
Nothing to get you pumped up like a killer playlist! We’d recommend some upbeat tunes during a workout and before to get you started.
- Mix it up!
Same old, same old. Your workout doesn’t have to be boring. Mix it up! Switch up your cardio and alternate which area of the body you are targeting that day.
Don’t forget that some days you deserve a break and some days you just won’t feel like it. And that’s OKAY. Listen to your body, and make sure you stay healthy.
