Established in 2010 in Toronto, Christopher Paunil was created to make women feel their most beautiful and powerful, from their big day to any day of the week. Offering both bridal wear and ready-to-wear design to brides and women of all backgrounds, Christopher Paunil’s philosophy is simple: meticulous design and production for the contemporary woman.

Christopher Paunil is an actively involved designer, present in every stage of imagining and executing a design, who is most passionate about making beautiful, memorable garments. Working from the age of 14, he has ample experience in many aspects of the fashion industry, from pattern making to uniform and costume design, to teaching in non-profit and educational environments.
Chalo Hancock is the strategic and business brainpower behind Christopher Paunil, bringing his experience as an Executive Director, familiarity with building something from nothing, and general prowess in operations into the company.
Since 2009, Christopher and Chalo have been involved in developing the UforChange fashion program. Paunil has mentored over 150 youth spanning 11 cohorts. A program unique in the city, this hands-on intimate program exposes young people to design, pattern drafting, cutting, and sewing. Students source their fabrics and deliver a semi-annual showcase where they both model their designs and curate a small collection for the runway.
At their core, both Christopher and Chalo believe that giving back and paying it forward helps make the world a better place.
