It was a pleasure to view the Modehaus Spring 2018 bridal collection as they took on New York Bridal Fashion week for the first time! Chelsea Lovett is Modehaus Bridal owner and designer. Her company began in the guest bedroom of her home where she created custom bridal gowns. Today, Modehaus is a fully integrated design house. All Modehaus gowns are designed, patterned and constructed in their studio right here in Minneapolis! Chelsea makes her best efforts to purchase American-made fabrics and notions for all her designs. We also loved seeing our friend Stephanie from SM Makeup inc. who was modeling for Modehaus and happens to be our hair and makeup designer for our fashion shows!

The Modehaus designs were a simple and refreshing take on classic romance. The light airy fabrics floated across the floor with every step. Modehaus also included a piece with one of the latest trends we noticed throughout this market, a cape. The Starling gown is made of 100% silk featuring a high neckline and is paired with a chiffon cape to add drama. We also loved the option of a removable train that is designed to be paired with other dresses or jumpsuits in the collection. This is perfect for the bride who wants to switch things up between the ceremony and reception.
