The adored L.A. designer, Mark Zunino has transformed bridal couture into red carpet style throughout the past 10 years. Zunino started his education at Pepperdine University in California with hopes of entering the advertising industry post-graduation. Through this program, he received the opportunity to interview film and television designer Nolan Miller, Zunino was completely inspired and took on an apprenticeship with Miller in 1985. After studying the couture style and working with European pattern markers and tailors, he eventually launched his own label in 1998. Both his designs and his clients emulate the Hollywood glamour inspiration that is so popular in today’s fashion. Everyone from Angelina Jolie to Gwyneth Paltrow have worn a raved about Zunino design. He brings the same glamour and luxury of his red carpet gowns to the aisles of bridal couture and we cannot get enough! Mark Zunino works with the world-renowned Kleinfeld Bridal in NYC. His passion in life is to “make every woman feel as though she were walking the red carpet every day of their life.”
Mark Zunino is a red carpet designer for many celebrities such as Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara, Tennis Star Serena Wiliams, 1990’s Knots Landing lead ladies Joan Collins and Donna Mills, Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry and Angelina Jolie just to name a few. The one thing about Mark Zunino’s designs is he knows how to flatter a woman’s body.
Since our initial meeting with Mark in 2014 we have followed him each season with great anticipation. His silhouettes are always breathtaking and flawless with accentuating details while not overshadowing the overall look. Beautiful draping and ruching to pleated chiffons and the use of dramatic illusion fabrics are always synonymous with the designs by Mark Zunino. This Fall 2017 season brought lighter fabrics with the most amazing flow to them, even the pantsuit with the cape which drew a gasp of enjoyment when it appeared on the runway. Having seen the close-up, the structure in the bodice of the gown is unique and again forms to the female body in a way to visually flatter the female form. The detail of flowers and accented crystals and beading is so strategically placed it seems so natural and perfect as though it was magic.
Each season we receive a Mark Zunino gown for our UNVEILED Wedding Event and Mark never disappoints in showcasing his designs in sophisticated silhouettes. Mark’s designs will bring every bride’s vision to reality whether walking the red carpet in Hollywood or the aisle of her wedding.
