Remy Quinones launched Isabelle Armstrong in 2013. Quinones has always had a passion for bridal fashion. She was inspired by the brides she created relationships with throughout her years as the owner of a couture wedding salon in New Jersey. In 2013 she finally said, “I do” to her dream and created her very own luxury bridal brand, Isabelle Armstrong.
Quinones’ goal in the creation of Isabelle Armstrong was to create beautiful gowns that truly meet the expectations of brides-to-be. Her hands-on experience working with women in her own salon helped her understand what brides truly mean when they say “the dress of their dreams.” Isabelle Armstrong gowns bring to life a European vision; Quinones always chooses couture fabrics with custom embroideries. The brand has also worked to develop a one-of-a-kind inner construction that gives each gown a “weightless, effortless, and timeless” feel and appearance. Quinones’ motto is, “No matter how gorgeous a dress is, if it doesn’t fit right, it’s not going to be the one.”
The Wedding Guy’s reaction to the Fall 2017 collection:
The new direction visible in the Isabelle Armstrong Fall 2017 Collection is truly authentic. When a designer really steps out of the box and introduces a collection completely free of the general gown looks – we take notice. When you sit in a fashion show at Bridal Fashion Week and you say to yourself, “wow that is not seen in any other collections,” you know you have seen something truly unique and authentic, a designer who dares to be different.
What we noticed was a return to many elements of different fashion decades in the Isabelle Armstrong collection. From the illusion and appliquéd bishop sleeves, high neck Elizabethan pleated neckline enhanced by a delicate ribbon, to the stunning blue and silver painted gown, and the “liquid organza” and tulle strapless ball gown. Yes there are always the traditional silhouettes that every collection has, but when a designer uses interesting fabrics and details, enhancements and subtleties you can’t help but notice even for the most discerning eyes.
